Why dog owners choose us

The Hounds of Love difference

Choosing a groomer is a big decision. Hounds of Love is all about creating a calm, kind and personal grooming experience for dogs and their humans.

We come to you

Mobile dog grooming from the comfort of your own driveway. No drop-off, no pick-up, and no need to take time off work.

One dog at a time

No busy salon environment, no cages and no waiting around.

Gentle handling

Patient care for puppies, senior dogs, nervous dogs and everyday family dogs.

Professional grooming

Tailored grooming based on coat, breed, temperament and individual needs.

What's on offer

Dog grooming services

Caring, one-to-one grooming for dogs of all breeds, ages and temperaments. Whether your dog needs a full groom, a fresh bath and brush, a puppy introduction or regular coat maintenance, every appointment is tailored to your dog.

Full groom

Bath, blow dry, clip or style, nails, ears and finishing touches for a fresh, comfortable coat.

Bath & brush

Perfect for keeping coats clean, soft and smelling beautiful between full grooms.

Puppy introduction

A gentle first grooming experience to help puppies build confidence from the start.

De-shedding

Helps reduce excess coat, loosen dead hair and keep your dog more comfortable.

Hand stripping

For wire-coated breeds, so the harsh texture and colour grow back properly instead of going soft.

Nail clipping

Quick, safe and caring nail maintenance for happy paws.

Senior & nervous dogs

Patient, calm handling for older dogs, anxious dogs and dogs who need extra reassurance.

How your quote works

Every dog is different, so there's no fixed price list. What your groom costs depends on your dog's breed and size, the condition of their coat, how long it's been since their last groom, what they need doing, and where you are.

Send over your dog's details on the contact page and you'll get a straight answer back — no obligation.

Same dog, same morning

Before and after

Every one of these went home the same day. Drag your eye across — the coat is the easy part to see, but look at how settled they are in both.

A speciality

Hand stripping

For wire-coated breeds — border terriers, schnauzers, wire dachshunds and the like — clipping softens the coat and fades the colour over time. Hand stripping takes the dead hair out at the root instead, so the harsh, weatherproof texture grows back the way it should.

It takes as long as it takes

Stripping is done a little at a time, by hand, and most dogs find it perfectly relaxing once they settle. It isn't something to rush, which is exactly why there's only ever one dog in the van.

So kind and patient with my border collie Chip. Definitely the best cut he's ever had!

Molly was great with our French bulldog Bella who was petrified of water. She came back clean and smelling amazing.

Molly kept my old boy calm and he came back with his tail wagging and smelling so fresh.

Molly put my anxious Daisy at ease straight away. The standard of the groom was excellent.
